YUMMY!!!

Here's my submission for the Limited Supplies Challenge 232 on Splitcoaststampers.com along with a close up of the REAL sugar frosting that I used.  The challenge was to create a food/beverage only theme and you could only use colours that were food related like Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, ect.

For this I challenge I was inspired by the Basic Gray Lemonade dp.  Just looking at those cherries is making me hungry.  I didn't have a cupcake die so it's all done free hand and to give it a little bit of dimension I pleated the cupcake holder and added dimensionals for the frosting part.  I wanted to use glitter for the frosting but then I wouldn't have been following the rules of the challenge so I decided to give sugar a try and it ended up working.  Using less glue is better so that it doesn't dissolve the sugar.

The cupcake is sponged with purely pomegranate to give texture and the sentiment was given a fake layer by adding pomegranate ink to the sides just to help blend it in. If I had any Very Vanilla I would have used that for the sentiment. The buttons were the only thing that I thought might not fit with the challenge but then the encouraging ladies on SCS reminded me that Burgandy is type of wine.  I couldn't remember if the green buttons were Mellow Moss or Sage Shadow because that's how long I've had them kicking around my craft room.

Paper:  Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Basic Grey Lemonade dp
Stamps: Sincere Salutations
Ink:  Purely Pomegrante, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Wild Wasabi ribbon, sugar, Basic Grey Lemonade rub-on (cherry), buttons, ticket corner punch.
