Make It Count

This card came from multiple inspirations.  1) Everything but the Kitchen Sink Sketch Challenge 2) Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 3) Cinema Saturday Movie: Clueless and 4) My favourite upbeat Scenic Route dp.

It just happened that both sketch challenges were very similar.  I just made each square the same size rather than the bigger center square for the Sweet Sunday Sketch.  As for how this card relates to the Cinema Saturday challenge, there's a point in the Movie Cher (Silverstone) was quoting Horace's "Carpe Diem". I decided to make a cheerful and uplifting card based on that.

Anyhow, there are a lot of details to this card, lots of layers and textures and shapes.  I hope you'll take the time to look at them up close.  You might have to look closer to see the Make it Count sentiment in the flower's center. There's hand stitching on the front panels, sewed stitching as well as orange beads added to the flower.  I've been trying to add some beadwork to my projects lately.  Since I'm not much of a bead crafter, I find it hard to do without making it look tacky.

Hope you are having a fabulous week.  Happy crafting!

Paper: Bazzill Basics (Yellow), Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Ashville? dp (Scenic Route)
Accessories: Flower Fusion (SU!), Orange beads (SU!), Build-a-brad,  1 3/4" circle punch, cotton floos (Orange and Yellow)
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Old Olive
Stamp:  Make it Count (SU!)
