Stamp Therapy

Yesterday was a very long day.  It was one of those days where all three of my kids seemed to be at each other throats the whole day, I heard Momma at least a million times, and the messes to clean up were never ending.  Thankfully my two year old went to bed earlier with his siblings because he hadn't had a nap. Needless to say by the time the kids were in bed I was in desperate need of some stamp therapy.

Here are my two creations last night that I've already posted on my SCS gallery. I wanted the cards to be bright and cheerful....something opposite to the way I was feeling.  The dp from the Ashville collection by Scenic Route came to mind.  I love the bright orange & mellow yellow.  I recently did a mini album for my mom using the same paper and enjoyed working with such upbeat colours.

The stamp sets that I used were a reflection of my thoughts. The top card uses Spring Solitude, inspired by the idea of me finding that private place to withdraw to when my world gets just a little crazy.  And then the bottom cards use of Delight in Life is to remind me to delight more often in the beautiful life that has been given to me.

Paper:  Whisper White, Scenic Route Ashville dp, bazzil basics
Ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Brown, Soft Suede, Night of Navy, Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry
Ribbon:  Unknown.  It came in kit so I have no idea who the manufacturer is
Button:  From moms button bin....my daughter loves to sift through that bin.
Accessories:  EK Success edge punch, rhinestones
Stamps:  Delight in Life, Spring Solitude, Just B

  1. I already told you at SCS how much I liked the top card...and this bottom card is wonderful, too! I really like the DP frame and the pleated ribbon. I hope it's ok if I CASE this. Very pretty and cheery card!
