Always There

Good Morning everyone!  Last night I had the kids settled down for bed before 8 pm, then I took a nice relaxing bath, and later I created this really simple card inspired by Karen's Sunday Sketch and my new Flower Burst embosslit.

I wanted to make a card for my little sister who's going through a bit of a rough time.  She's trying to mend a broken heart and it seems that life has even more curveballs to throw at her at the same time.  Add to the fact that she's still young and dark tunnels always seem longer then don't they? Other than Halloween, she was my other reason for being MIA this weekend.   I tried spending as much time with her as I could.

For the duo coloured flower burst I simply ran my Rich Razzleberry ink pad across the die, put it through my cuttlebug and then cleaned the die with a baby wipe.  One flower wasn't enough so I made another one with just the Crushed Curry Cardstock.  This was a great card to use up my scraps.  The Rich Razzleberry card stock had a score line right down the middle of it so I just did a couple more to make it look like it was done on purpose.  I've tried to include a close up but I'm not sure if you can see it.  You can always click on the picture for a closer view.  What do you think?

The sentiment is from the Hard To Say stamp set and I find myself reaching for that set even more than I thought I would.  I've found that all the stamps from that set leave a nice clean and crisp impression.

Anyhow, thanks for stopping by to take a peek.  Christmas is coming and I'm thinking that as soon as we get our first snowfall here in Kamloops I'm going to give away some blog candy to celebrate and as a thank you to my 10 creative and supportive followers.  I'm so glad I started this blog and met all of you fabulous ladies!

  1. beautiful colours and flowers on this one... I can relate to your sister...when I was young I thought they'd be no other one and then as you age you realize there are lots of fish in the sea and you get to pick one that doesn't break your heart.
