Making it Manly

It's not always an easy thing to do and we've all been there.  But a little inspiration can go a long way.  And I was inspired by two cards made by Maile Belles from Simply Stamped labeled "With a Twist"  and "That was a Toughie ".  I thought the simplicity of the long card might be more attractive and the stitching on the second card was more masculine but added a little flare.  I decided to add both aspects together with the most masculine paper and stamp set I could find.  While my card does not even compare to the elegance of Maile's cards, it still came to be because of her efforts.

A few of you may recognize this card because I submitted it a few days ago to SCS for the Limited Supplies Challenge #234. As I stated in my post, I thought that maybe the punch was a little much for a male card but I also thought that it may play up the polk-a-dots on the card.  Maybe only stamping one leave would have made more of a statement too but I didn't take the time to fool around with it.

Anyhow, I just wanted to share how this card came to be and hopefully inspire you to improve it or add your special touch or technique

I'm off to bed now.  I had a wonderful day at the lake with my family but now I'm very tired.  Thanks for dropping by and have a fabulous day.
